The story.

The story of Herbert started from a small accordion style booklet I made in a book binding class. The book was to show a progression on each page. My progression was of an elephant coming into the frame to find some balloons, tie them to himself, then fly away with the balloons.

After finding this book I developed a more elaborate story of this elephant floating away with these balloons.

I then went on to write a short story about Herbert (using it for my Creative Writing class). This turned into the dialog used in my movie.

Each one of the images are hand drawn by myself with slight Photoshop to crop and add different objects to each picture.

I wanted this movie to seem as if you are having a children's book read to you.
Herbert and I have traveled four months together and I am very happy to have finally finished this movie!
